Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Thulo Syabrubesi, passing
through lush hills, river valleys, and rural settlements along the Trishuli River. This drive offers beautiful views of the countryside and marks the gateway to the Langtang–Gosaikunda trekking route.
Drive Duration: 6–7 hours
The trail ascends steadily through dense forests of oak and rhododendron, passing small villages and monasteries. As you gain altitude, the air becomes cooler and the mountain landscape more dramatic. Cholangpati offers stunning panoramic views and prepares you for higher elevations.
Trek Duration: 5–6 hours
Today is a highlight of the trek as you reach the sacred Gosaikunda Lake, an important pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists. The trail passes Laurebina Yak and several smaller alpine lakes before reaching the turquoise waters of Gosaikunda, surrounded by rugged Himalayan peaks.
Trek Duration: 4–5 hours
This is the most challenging and rewarding day of the trek. Crossing Laurebina Pass, the highest point of the journey, offers breathtaking views of the Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, and surrounding ranges. After the pass, descend through alpine terrain and forests to Ghopte.
Trek Duration: 7–8 hours
The trail descends through dense forests and traditional villages, providing a noticeable change in climate and vegetation. This day offers a peaceful walk and cultural encounters as you approach lower elevations.
Trek Duration: 6–7 hours
After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, concluding your unforgettable Gosaikunda and Laurebina Pass trekking adventure.
